I am stuck on the following clues from the Radio Times prize crossword 7 (12-18th February 2011)
3 down (2 words, 8,7) "Entertainer copying craftily magicician's low art" ?L?S???R ?C?O?A
(The 5th letter of the 1st word is W or T and I think that the second word must be "acrobat")
12 across (2 words 6 and 7) "Having a roof like a brewery?" ?A?R?L (Must be barrel) ???L?E? (I originally thought of "barrel ceiling" but this cannot be correct as tthe penultimate letter of the 2nd word is definitely E)
I shall not be submitting the puzzle to enter the competition, but I am curious to find the answer, rather than wait 6 weeks for the RT to print the solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Regards, Robert
