Hi Amy, I put bunny girl
Bunny for the cake part of the clue and g-grand i-one, and r and l --left and right hands to spell girl.

13a and d I've put Switchback and Scallywag.
Do you think they are right ?

Thanks, Diana, I'd got the 'bun, grand & I' and like your R & L for 'hands'.
Perhaps the 'perhaps' means make an adjective out of 'bun' to get 'bunny'!!??

Yes I have 'switchback' and 'scallywag'.
'switch' is 'stick' and 'back' a rugby player,
'switchback' goes up and down.

With 'scallywag', I think 'sc' is
'that is/namely'. entirely 'all', 'y' unknown,
'wag'/comedian.

Sc does come from "that is"= ie.
"Sc is a digraph used in Italian to write the sound before the front vowel letters e, i. It is used for in French and English words like science."
Hope you can understand that better than I do.

Switchback = "A zigzag path or road on a steep hill; A hairpin bend; (dated?) A roller coaster; To zigzag"

re 10a dup=Democratic Unionist Party, and then I'm guessing dup is housed by (inside) "Lea to" where Lea may by an archaic (old) word for lend or hire.
that is only a guess tho.
