Has anybody tried the stinker 'Enigmatic Variations' Crosswords in the Sunday Telegraph? I've been attempting the 3rd of May one for the last 10 days and I'm still practically nowhere! Can anyone at least give me a hint about the theme of the linked clues???

A group of like-minded people maintain a weekly thread on AnswerBank where they discuss the clues, but do not provide answers.
