I\'m stuck with a couple of clues and help would be appreciated.
Simple shelter after good work\'s come to nothing (2,4) g? ????
British cause downfall of ruined settlement in India (9) b?n?o????

I think the first one would be - go down.

The second one is BUNDOBUST, meaning a settlement in India.

B (ritish) + UNDO (downfall) + BUST (ruined)

Think the first one is GO PHUT meaning come to nothing, made up of g (go) op (work) and hut (simple dwelling)
