I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

It’s been suggested that solutions are withheld till 5 pm to allow those interested to have a go.

3. Penetrating remarks made about a series on TV, usually a police shocker (5)
4. Recoil from a bazooka has occasionally rattled beginners (5)

Do informants supply dope?
