Having completed the crossword I could only see 9 as well, plus the holy one. I double checked several times, saw your post, thought there may be a mistake in the instructions, went back and then saw the tenth!! So, no mistakes there are ten. I wonder if the one you are missing is the one I couldn't see for a while? (5 down.)

I assume 5dn is one of the themed answers, though the clue seems to make perfect sense in its own right.

I see the river, Tony, and agree that it has to be one of the themed answers. I'm just saying that if you disregard the special instructions, the clue still works fine.

Totally stuck on top left-hand corner. Have all but these last 6 and would be eternally grateful for any hints. (Well, when I say eternally, I mean for a day or so...). Thanks
