Afternoon all.

Bird's religious, 11 10 = pipit. (clues 11 and 10 are 'tip' 'setback') So we're left with pi/religious. I'm stumped.

11 came in third finally = E-D. That'll be End. (11=tip.) Mail clues have been getting weirder of late...

Pi meaning pious is often used in crosswords

TIP setback = PIT, hence PI + PIT

TIP and TIP set backwards = pi = pipit i think lame i know

22 across i think is urd the goddess of fate

Ah yes! tip = END and camE iN thirD finally = E + N + D

It's getting a little weirder as time goes on but I completed today's (pipit and all) during my train journey to work this morning.
