Am torn between two possibilities for last one and would appreciate any input.

25a - (5) 'Mean to have large number at game against the Spanish'. I've got c-u-l and am unsure whether to go with 'cruel' (but I can't see anything to do with game here) and 'churl'
which hasn't anything to do with the Spanish.

Grateful for any help.

I've just spotted it myself - cruel - with the ru being rugby union.

Isn't it funny how often that happens - as soon as you've typed out the problem, the answer comes to you!

CRUEL CRU and EL *(EL = "the" in Spanish)

C= 100,RU, rugby union, el, the in Spanish = cruel.
