Hello everyone
Wish I could join in but my RT has not arrived yet. Just tried to ring their subscription dept, but it is constantly engaged. Suggests I am not alone. Anyone else out there in RT land also suffering withdrawal symptoms?
PHILIP

Philip, Mine arrived yesterday, completed in about an hour (with interruptions). Slightly more testing than usual, my favourite clue 22a. Hope yours arrives before the weekend.

Received the latest RT yesterday: two inside a week! Managed to complete RT2 before close of play yesterday evening. I agree it was a little more challenging than of late. 22a was the way in, while 7a (corny) and 5d (teasing) resisted to the last. I'd guessed 16a before working out the clue, and had to use that well-known search engine to expand my woefully inadequate knowledge of possible answers for 13d. I'm not sure I fully understood 4d, but my answer seems to make sense. Otherwise the rest of the puzzle was reasonably straightforward.

Good afternoon all.

TomCat, having just read your comment, I'm reassured that you too have an answer which you're not sure about in respect of 4d. Snap!

Are we talking about a miniature form of steam travel with a number of carriages which are occupied by [usually] children?

Regards,

Caravaggio

Hello Caravaggio. Indeed I am. I can't think of any other combination of words that fit. I see the real thing is in a rather sad condition in Margate.

Good morning all. Am still struggling with
8A Declares at 150 (very good) during musical festival.
22A Stone Dean`s partner
and, like almost everyone else
13D Cocktail as remedy for island bishop`s confinement. Is the first word here Cuba?

Wee Jock, I see you are a reader of The Broons. Have you read Jackie Kay`s poem `Ma Broon Visits a Therapist`?
