Is it IMAGINE?

21a Substance found in oil well, comprising something deep? (7)
Is it BENZENE?

They are what I had - sorry don't know the wordplay for them though

1st one... think of = imagine. a number = the john lennon song imagine.

2nd one could be BENZOLE,but still can't get wordplay.

think benzene is right and wordplay is....

substance found in oil = benzene,

well = bene (latin, means well)

comprising (including) zen (something deep; the art of zen and motorcycle maintenance, zen buddism,that sort of thing).
