Am stuck with 1d(6) 'Where in Scotland to fast first to last'. I've got T-r-e- and all I can think of is tarbet, but don't know why.

Any ideas?

Also, am still trying to work out the theme connecting the 12 linked clues in yesterday's Hogmanay jumbo. Any ideas on that?

Hi. Not doing the GK but I'm pretty sure the theme for Hogmanay is words associated with 20 and 11 (2011)Getting stuck now though. I wrote to the compiler last year as this is not a "true" crossword and there are too many long black tunnels but it's him again!

Just realised it's TARVES (Aberdeenshire!) anagram of starve!
