any help with 5a and 6d? struggling .............

Could you give us the clues please

of course, sorry, (and tyhat was pretty quick!)

5a = bun, say, in musical party _ _ _ R _ O (6)
6d = forward note in a record _ _ O _ G (5), and first letter is the second letter of 5a

thanks suki, i thought it was "do" for party but am struggling on why hair = bun, ahhhhhhhhhh can have your hair in a bun! ic

so, 6d is A _ O _ G, which means among or along, so it could be the latter if "a log" = a record and insert "n" for note, c'est n'est-ce pas?
