I think the latter must be SENTRY TO but this doesn't seem to sound right.
As for the first, I can only presume this is some sort of colloquial phrase, involving BUILDING but it fails to ring any bells whatsoever!
Any help gratefully received!

and sentry go

If something is Jerry built it is poorly constructed so 5d Being constructed badly (13)
J-C-Y-U-L-I-G is actually JERRY BUILDING
