I am getting no where with this one. From this forum I have got the samuel clemens langhorne and have a few clues solved around and about the cross word but nothing i can really work with . I am stuggling with what the pairings are about can anyone help please

In the themed clues there are 6 of 'Mark' & 6 of 'Twain'

I think so I was trying to pair the solutions so I was trying for exampole to see what went with my solution for 5a but now i see thta thta is simply realted to twain as is my answer to 16a. And taking it furtehr 12a and 28 link to Mark.
At least I hope I have now sudenly seen the light

I thought that the instructions were a little confusing, implying 6 pairs of answers. In fact there are 6 that suggest 'mark' and 6 that suggest 'twain'.
