could it possibly be desserts - stressed backwards - just a thought?

I do not have thie clue for 1a - mine is "Journey's end is across river (4) ?????
is it definitely Times 24718?

Definitely Times 24718 - paper version, think the online one is totally different.

I have the same clues as Chips, so maybe the online version is different. I was looking at another thread for Times 24718 and was mystified as none of the clues were the same as the ones in the paper, so that must be why.
