I have it as DEPOSIT RELOANS as an anagram but I don't think this is right, as it gives me E-D-E for the clue below.

And 19a (5) Core group?

Thank you! I was trying to make it an anagram, and could only see 'relation' as a family relation, not a narrative relation!

I guess CA(D)RE is the other one.

May I suggest that it is deposit account. An account can be relation of a story, for instance.
