LaBamba, you are my absolute hero!! And who said the age of chivalry is dead? I actually went back over all 112 pages of this site and there doesn't appear to be any threads started by anyone called Gina. Methinks there may be a n..... in the woodpile?

Personally I have no interest in this quiz, but if you took away all the questions about it there wouldn't be much left. I don't recall any crossword question losing out because of it, so why, other than malice, would anyone wish to spoil a perfectly good thread?

I'm going be devil's advocate here. As long as a thread is marked with a meaningful title, those who wish to ignore it are free to do so. It's those dumb-assed posters who simply put "Cryptic" in the thread title who need to pull up their socks.

@campanilla - Good on you girl. You must have the stamina of a Clydesdale horse to wade through all 112 pages.

Hey StyxLawyer

Welcome support. However, old Campy aint no Clydesdale, she is one fine thoroughbred.

My mate Billyboy agrees 100%

Can I break into this love fest and ask what AB is?
Whilst we are talking about each other, Royston seems to have not been on line for weeks. I know he has been ill, but does anyone have any news, as he was so quick, he makes the likes of the rest of us look like snails.

Shhh!! There you go exaggerating again, if you're going to die, do it quietly, I'm trying to keep a low profile and you're not helping.

AB is AnswerBank - a site that is supposed to be for people seeking answers, but at times gets taken over by predatory monsters who try to dictate which questions can be answered and which can not. In reality all you need to do is to ignore them, but that is easier said than done.

This is how someone started a post on THAT quiz today:

"Please don't shout at me , but please can I have a few pointers to these"

I used to answer 25 - 50 questions on there each day, but tired of the pettiness. [Also, since I set up my own blog, only a handful of questions about Telegraph crosswords get asked on there during the week.]

Hey, hold on, let`s not write off AnswerBank completely! They`ve lots more topics such as Technology, Science, Law, History, Media, Food & drink, Arts etc and I`ve been in a few of them, and I`ve done a bit of hovering also. I`ve been very impressed with the generosity and spontaneous willingness by members to help out and I`ve been glad to recommened the site. There are many eager-to-share people in the Quiz section also, as long as you can ignore the negative rantings of a few, the like of which I did NOT find in any of the other topics.

But I`m still happy to have found this Forum!
