Spoiler alert, I have the answer but can't parse the clue:

There is a missing definition which I believe to be "Fish"

1 ac) Clue regularly seen within three seconds (11)

The answer must be: STICKLEBACK, I can see "clue regularly " give us LE,
but can't work out the rest??

S and TICK seconds (short amounts of time, and BACK - second as in "back"!

Very tricky

S + Tick + Back = 3 seconds.

This clue is one of the set in this xword that shares a missing definition. I have solved all the others, I think, all had a ''fish'' connection.
The best I could come up with here is SAMPAN [a river boat) and SAPPAN - a kind of wood.

All help gratefully received.
