I have a full grid, can see the 2 adjacent 5 letter words...but no more ...hints for how to proceed please...

Change 8 of their letters to what they bring.

I have a full grid, have made the necessary 8 letter change and done all the highlighting. My sticking point is the two vertical bars to be removed and the one to be added. I think the two to be removed are in the adjacent words and the one to be added would separate those two words. Confirmation of that or guidance in the right direction would be much appreciated.

I think the one to be added is towards the end of the original entry for 'rile'

All done, except that I have only 6 of the 7 other examples (in columns 3,4,5,6,8 and 9. I need to highlight 6 more cells. Nudges welcome!
