Do try it, breandan There's nothing horrendous in the eating, and a good one tastes delicious.

There - I've added a spurious A too - quite accidental!

In some sense, 4a is bagged using goat’s pipe as in 11a!

I really like savoury food so I think I will enjoy it. My brother loves cooking and is really good at it, his wife, for a birthday present, got him a series of lessons with a Michelin star chef (i can't remember who). Actually, now I think of it, in my family it's always the men who do the cooking.

I do most of our cooking too, though my wife and daughter both have specialities that they make.

As a Scotsman, I prefer it next morning in a hash or bubble'n'squeak brunch. Too salty and fatty otherwise for my taste!

I'm impressed with all you men cooking. My husband only cooks on Saturdays to allow me to do the crossword in the evening. We're both vegetarians so would never eat Haggis, though I might like the neeps and tatties.

Despite it being an easier one I still have three to solve:
3d Member adopting alias before the end of honourable discharge (7)
I have L?A?A?E and have an answer that may mean discharge, but cannot parse it
18d What one might do with old paper platform (6)
I have P?L?I?. Again I have an answer, but cannot parse it.
20d Sherry craving, but not her place to consult (7)
I have S?R?E?Y. I have no idea about this one, I've tried taking her out of sherry, but still can't see any answer.

I've just got 18d

3 "also known as"
18 split it 4,2
20 good start. Put a craving in it. Def is "place to consult" ( a doctor, perhaps)

Thanks Chris

I've just done a reply but the Captcha didn't send it, so I'll try and repeat it.

I've now got them all, though 3d took me a minute to understand your clue. 18d, I'd already done and 20d was obvious and I don't undertand why I didn't get it earlier.

25ac reminded me of my mis-spent youth at Uni in the 60s/70s

It was nice to have an easy one today. I can tackle other things on my to-do list and I don't have to cook. Yippee
