There is not an Osiris. Think of a name which is also the title of a musical.

Thanks chrise and forgive the long interval before this post. But more help needed on those awkward ones:

F - still can't see the US football connection
R - "give in partly" = rel? most of the word relax? The foreign answer seems ok in this case because "French" is in the clue. No such justification for the Z one.
T - "Jack" = pam? Why?

Thanks scorpiojo. I don't mind not quite seeing the T or the F ones as I can blame my simple ignorance, but I should have seen relent for "give in". Not a brilliant clue, though. Earlier yesterday I was moaning about the long Z one being a foreign word.

Stuck on our last one. The L solution that is not the themed one.
Unploughed land and river lass circling round (3-3)

We have L _ A - _ I _

The I comes from a themed answer so may be wrong

Hints please

Crikey this is one I actally got!! Im nor t quite sure how I got it though! However, think of another word for lass. The river I think is just one letter. A river in Scotland.
