Oh I agree it wasn't really difficult,just - yuk!

Why are so many so upset by this? Morbid & in bad taste. Why? Had the theme of the puzzle been 17th century poets, would it have been in bad taste because they are dead?
I find this site useful & informative but I wish you'd get over yourselves & find a sense of humour sometimes.
It was a perfectly fair puzzle.

Everyone is entitled to voice an opinion as long as they do it nicely....

A fair point confused.com...I'm often surprised by what is deemed to be in bad taste....and what isn't.

I found the theme legitimate, seeing as it is a well-known cultural phenomenon. I personally didn't find it morbid at all. A bit easy, seeing as they are all so famous - and especially as they are all famous as being "members" of that club.

i thought it added a whiff of interest to an otherwise quite dull quiz.
i expect jim morrison would have been miffed at his omission.
