IT'S ALL IN THE PUNCTUATION

A Professor of English wrote the following sentence

"A woman without her man is nothing".

on the blackboard and asked his students to punctuate it.

All the men in the class wrote as follows.......

"A woman, without her man, is nothing"

Whereas all the women wrote.......

"A woman: without her, a man is nothing"

I like it!

Hi elle
Should I point out that the women had (unnecessarily) to add a word?

Typo, Chris! I erroneously put in an extra 'a'.
It should, of course , have read...
"A woman: without her, man is nothing" !
