dobby - that was my last-but-one. The last word of the clue is thematic. Sister is (in my book) a slightly unusual abbrevaition that (about) goes round it.

All done, apart from 7dn. I'm assuming the answer is entered as 14dn, and I have all except the unch's. But I can't fathom the clue at all. Any hints gratefully received.

Jif73, 'essentially' gives you the first two letters of the answer, then you 'eviscerate' a word (remembering the thematic ... moves).
