Last one seems straightforward but I can't see it 26ac Crack in ground we're told (4) I have. ?L?W I think the answer is PLOW but I can't reconcile it. Any help welcome.

Thanks for your help Mattrom. The clue was lost to me as to a Scot like me Flaw and Floor don't sound anything like each other.

That's the thing with homophones, they're so region and accent dependent.

I don't think it would work in the US, either. Who'd ever think that having an Aussie accent would help in a British crossword clue?

Indeed Mattrom, although I think it might work in Boston. they seem lengthen and flatten their "a" sounds.
