Have finished the grid except for 34d. Assume its an abbreviation, but can’t see it. Any tips would be appreciated.

Maybe you did a word search and failed to find it, as I did. The problem there is that there is a French-type C and and an I with an accent so entering something like ?C?I doesn't always come up with anything. Defn fruit. Chambers has those extra markings but Collins online dictionary accepts it without.

a.c. = ante cibum = before food in doctors' prescriptions.
