Yes, I know. But the G is from Grodno ('City in Belarus, on the Neman River') and an H wouldn't work.

What about Hrodna?

That would work, and give you an "h" in the right place for "Hughes Hall"?

You're right. Thanks. Apparently Hrodno is an alternative spelling for Grodno.

Elle, I really did think Hughes Hall was the likely answer, so I was stumped when I was told that it couldn't be right! I was glad you looked into the other, crossing, answer.
