I now have a full grid but I don't quite understand the instruction for the cutting and sticking. I'm more of a 'colouring in' person I feel, when it comes to playschool.

I've followed the first part of the instruction Pat, and made the appropriate cuts before re-assembling the mini grid and easily found what to highlight, but then I am stumped with how to cut the remaining section into 4 identical pieces before forming them into a square, especially as they have a sum total of 80 characters and 80 doesn't make a square in my book! I take it you have found the instruction from the appropriate 11 clues?

I have found the instruction, but my table is now covered in many pieces of paper with not much sense emerging - yet

And I've just taken a leap of faith and followed the preamble and yes you can make a square out of 80 letters (well sort of). Unbelievable.

Thanks Keepatit but I've earned my Blue Peter badge now and I didn't even need any sticky-back plastic. My sole remaining gripe is that despite having the answer and the changed letter in 9dn I still can't parse it! It's doing my head in.

Well played for working it out, especially with the four identical pieces constraint. I had to sleep on that final one, s_pugh. It took me forever . If it helps, it's the middle occurrence of the three possible incorrect letters that changes to an "a"

Steve, I would be grateful for a hint on the cutting and sticking, my Blue Peter badge eludes me. For 9d, look at the third definition of colonist in Chambers.
