I’m thinking of giving up on this...last chance, any help on 2d Legendary bird is soaring above sheep crossing back of moor (6), and 20d Leave doctor and son in Kirkwall bay (6)?

Lumen, I found this a real slog - I was glad to get it finished!

20 D - a three letter Scottish word for bay + a usual doctor + a usual son. Leave is the definition.

2 Legendary bird is the definition. I can't think of hints...

Couple of letters short bottom right, in 28a and 22d. Earlier hint (finger=burgle) didn’t help me at 28.

22 D - a usual European and a usual (drug) smuggler.

28 Burgle, pinch, nick,....
