Help appreciated parsing the following....
10a. Goddess admitting relationship to her husband? (4) - ISIS (Goddess)
It looks like I SIS(ter) (Admiiting relationship), but what's the relevance of 'to her husband'?
31a. Fool needs clout in order to speak(3,4,2) - OUT WITH IT (Order to speak)
I can see 'Fool' = TWIT + 'Clout' = HIT, but not where the OU at the start comes from.
8d. Musical direction of Massenet opera: work left on reflection (2,3,6) - MA NON TROPPO (Musical direction - of Massenet?)
It's 'Work' = OP + 'Left' = PORT + ON (All reversed) and then MAN - is it just that Massenet is a man or is there more to it?
45d. Resentful feeling upset street patrols (7) - PIQUETS??
I can't make sense of this at all, neither the parsing nor the definition - it's either a military punishment or the plural of a card game, none of which seem to fit - so I've gone wrong somewhere.
