Hello, Elle!
No highlights until Saturday, though.
I rarely get mail on a Monday.
Wonder why?
Hopefully your Collins will arrive tomorrow.
It is bigger and heavier than Chambers.
I felt sorry for my postie lugging it about before he reached me.

Good morning, Rusty!
A glorious day here! blue sky, bright sunshine, and fairly mild.
A most enjoyable early morning walk!
And my new Collins dictionary has arrived from World of Books.
But the postman brought it by van?
It is in excellent condition, and does not look as though it has ever been opened.
I wonder whether I shall need it to help solve today's crossword?
I shall enjoy studying it later on!

Good morning, Elle!
Lovely frosty morning here.
The postie is not daft.
The Collins is quite heavy to be carrying in his postbag!
Your copy sounds like mine, Elle.
I don't think mine has been opened, too.
Hope you like it!
I am watching the tennis.
Murray 2 sets to 1 down and level so far in the 4th.
First time I have seen Bautista Agut.
He's a fine player!

Hi, Rusty!
Lucky you watching the tennis!
I hear it's two sets all now between Andy Murray and Bautista Agut......
I hope for Andy's sake that he can eventually retire on a reasonable high.
We have heard from our errant plumber!
He rang to apologise for failing to materialise on Saturday.
Apparently he was held up till 7 pm by a difficult job.
Fair enough, but I do feel that he could have phoned earlier to explain?
However, he is now coming tomorrow between noon and 2pm., so fingers crossed!
I have to go for my BP check this afternoon!

Hello, Elle!
Was a good match.
The crowd were all for Andy.
He got a wonderful reception from them, and a lot of nice things said by his opponent, and his fellow players.
I thought it sad but enjoyable, which sounds a bit of a paradox, and there were no tears!
I think the plumber should get another chance.
Good luck with the BP test!

Hi, Rusty!
I am sorry that Andy lost......
Any further word on what he will do now?
Is this the end ...will he now retire?
Or is Wimbledon still a possibility?
I see that Kyle Edmund crashed out to Thomas Berdych.
I wish I could watch.... I just have the results up on my computer, so that I can see what progress is being made.
Better than nothing.....but a poor substitute for watching a match!
DPD has just delivered a parcel of pet food - spot on the first timing of their one time hour slot!
The Royal Mail could learn a thing or two from them!

Hello, Elle!
It was fairly obvious Andy was in pain at times, but in his interview he did not rule out playing on.
He did say he would need a big operation, though.
He wants to bow out at Wimbledon, though I would not know if he would qualify?
His ranking may be too low?
The Aussies love him!
I was reading that they are erecting a statue of him at Wimbledon.
Sloane Stephens won.
I like her, she is very funny, a natural comedian, and can play a bit as well!

Hi, Rusty!
I am home from the surgery, having had my BP taken.
I was also weighed, and have to go to the local hospital for my annual blood tests at some stage.
Then that will be my annual MOT done!
Yes, I, too, was reading about a statue of Andy being built at Wimbledon!
They already have one of Fred Perry, so that figures!
Well done, Sloane!
You will be pleased about her winning her match!
What happened to Heather, and also Maria Sharapova?
You have mentioned that they were playing today?

Hello, Elle!
Could not your surgery nurses do your blood tests?
That's where mine's are done.
I think Heather is out, but Miss Sharapova did not drop a game against Harriet Dart. 6-0, 6-0.
Sharapova is 40-1 with Paddy P to win the tournament.
Seems very generous odds!
Yes, I shall follow Sloane Stephens in this tournament.
She is my favourite of the women players.
She has a great sense of humour!

Good evening, Rusty!
No, unfortunately, there is no such service offered at our local GP surgeries.
In order to have blood taken, we have to go to the local hospital drop- in Phlebotomy Clinic that serves the area.
It is a shame about Heather..... and Harriet Dart is out , too?
Shall you place a small bet on Sloane to win, as she is your favourite?
I see Roger is through today.
I have recorded "Eggheads" and shall watch it after dinner.
