Hi, Rusty!
Yes, I have finished my puzzle, too.
I am not too sure about 9d though?
It is an anagram of (p)ersimmon, giving "misnomer"......
And I am assuming the definition is "glow worm for instance"?
Because a glow worm is not really a "worm" but a "beetle"?
Otherwise, the rest all seems straightforward.......
My brain is obviously in better shape today, than it was yesterday!
It is becoming overcast here...dare I hope for some rain?
Although none is forecast.......
How did you do at the dentist?

Hello, Elle!
Your interpretation of 9d is same as mine.
I rushed through it and did not check any of the parses.
My phone has been very busy.
There was a programme on BBC Alba TV last night about the bus that runs from Donegal to Glasgow and I have had umpteen texts about it.
It is a series and will be on again next Monday.
I knew one or two folk on the programme.
Quite a bit of it was in English which was helpful.
Got on great at the dentist.
The lady was very nice and friendly.
I have Le Tour on .
They are in the Alps. Great scenery!

Hi, Rusty!
Your phone is obviously working fine today, then, after yesterday's "blip"?
My own phone - a veritable dinosaur in all that it does is ring and text - also "locks", so there is no way the phone can work independently of my pressing it.
I simply have to press two keys.......
Does your phone not have that facility?
I do not know of BBC Alba TV - that is a new channel to me?
Is it a specific Scottish channel?
I have the cycling on ITV 4 (soundless) and have been keeping an eye on the scenery whilst reading!
Magnificent views!
I am about to take the dog out now, though, whilst the sun is in abeyance......... it may be a tad cooler.......
Back in a bit!

Good afternoon Elle!
No keys at all on my phone.
It is a touch screen.
BBC Alba is a Gaelic language channel up here.
There are some real gems on it at times.
The yellow jersey, van Avarmaet, is surprising me with his climbing skills today.
Did you see the huge monument to the French Resistance movement, and the displays, on the mountain?
I've never seen that before.
Always something to see and learn on the roads of the Tour de France!
No bears or wolves....so far!

Update, Elle!
The second chick at Loch of the Lowes has fledged just after two this afternoon.
Another successful year for Laddie and Lassie!

Hi, Rusty!
I seem to have missed everything!
I didn't see the monument honouring the French Resistance movement....
Nor did I see the fledging of chick no 2!
But that last is good to hear...
Yes, well done, Lassie and Laddie!
Their parenting skills are great!
It has been quite pleasant out this afternoon... the lack of sunshine cooled the atmosphere down somewhat!
I think we are going to have a sunny evening...but our walk is over with now, and we are back home before it heats up again!
How is Greg van Avarmaet making out today?
Is he keeping the yellow jersey?

Hello, Elle!
It is difficult to see everything as it lasts for hours.
There is an enormous memorial to the French Resistance and many displays on the mountain.
I really liked it.
Did you see the high wire walkers?
They were impressive.
Greg van Avermaet was superb today and extended his lead.
He defended the jersey by attacking.
I had no idea he could climb like that!
His team, BMC, announced they are joining up with another sponsor at the end of the season and building the new team around Greg.
First stage win for France, too.
Julian Alaphillippe won very well indeed.
It is a fine afternoon here!
I am very pleased for Lassie and Laddie!

Update, Elle!
The first photograph is of the French Resistance monument that we saw today.
There were also lots of displays.
I was very impressed.
