Hi, Rusty!
I have just eaten some ice-cream!
I have googled it and it seems that Amazon Prime Video is (I quote) "an Internet video on demand service that is developed, owned, and operated by Amazon.com"
http://vodzilla.co/blog/vod-news/eastbourne-2018-mens-tennis-to-stream-live-on-amazon-prime-video/
You will see that the prices for viewing are shown at the bottom of the article!
Oh good! I shall look forward to the Athletics events!
I think that Athletics just has the edge over tennis when it comes to favouritism!
Mischief, Rusty?
Me?

Hello, Elle!
So, you are not getting Amazon Prime tennis?
I prefer the athletics, too.
The cycling national championships are taking place this weekend too, all across Europe.
So, plenty to interest me on EuroSport!
I have been watching Felix Baumgartner's jump from a balloon on the edge of space.
I don't know about Felix, but it sure scared me!
He jumped from 128,000 feet!
It was almost 6 years ago.
Doesn't time fly!

Hi, Rusty!
No, I am definitely not getting involved in any of these payment schemes to watch Sport.
EuroSport Player was quite enough!
Once bitten, twice shy......isn't that how the saying goes?
Lordy, I shall be busy enough at the weekend with tennis and Athletics....with cycling thrown in the mix as well, I don't know how you will find the time!
And I think we are expected to see the family, too, over the weekend.........
The recorder will be working overtime!
I cannot even climb a ladder! I don't know how Felix Baumgartner had the nerve to achieve that jump.
Yes, time seems to go quicker, too, the older we get!

Hello, Elle!
I think you are wise to steer clear of Amazon Primetime programmes.
Yes, a busy weekend of sport.
At one point Felix was falling at over 700 mph.
And he landed on his feet, in spite of getting wrong wind directions several times from the ground control team.
A brave man!

I've been thinking. Although I have seen the odd male L. depressa (once in my conservatory), the only time I have seen numbers of them was over a large pond/small lake, where they whizzed round all day. But there didn't seem to be many or any females at the time. Maybe, when the females hatch, they fly off to areas away from the ponds to mature and only return when ready to mate and lay eggs. I've been looking in my books and can't see this mentioned, but it is possible.
I like all dragonflies; my favourite is the damsel Agrion virgo with the beautiful irridescent wings that looks like a fluttering butterfly.

Good Morning Ros

From what you have told me, I think the males would probably have been together at Longham Lakes which is just over 2 miles north of my friends' house. Next time I visit in September, I would like to go to the Lakes, which were only established in 2010.
Butterflies here at home often fly into the conservatory and then keep circling, trying to find their way out, even though two large windows and door are left open for them. (Speckled Woods often like to go up into the roof )

In mid -May, Holly Blues were abundant here, but luckily they stayed in the garden. One Ringlet flew into the lounge, but found her way out quickly.
I am not looking forward to the heatwave

A Very good morning to you, Rusty!
A sticky night here ...despite using the fan!
But a pleasanter, fresher morning!
Dog and I have had an enjoyable walk before the temperature escalates.
I do not think. fortunately , that it is expected to be as hot and humid as yesterday, though.
We shall see.....
I am going out again very shortly.....
I am away to have my hair trimmed.....it does grow very quickly.
I should be back about lunch time.
I hope all is well at your end ?
Catch up with you later.......

Good morning, Elle!
It was cooler when I was out earlier, but getting warm now.
I am home for a while (I await a parcel "out for delivery" today).
Now, interestingly enough, there is an article in The Times today about Amazon Prime TV.
The journalist watched the tennis and described it as being "like EuroSport was ten years ago"!
I do not think that is a compliment!
There were also ads encouraging him to watch other Amazon programs.
I do not like the sound of it.
You will feel cooler after your trim!

Hi, Rusty!
I am finally home again......
The hairdresser was busy this morning...it took longer than usual to get out!
I am suitably shorn - by which I mean I have lost about one inch!
My hair is what I think is called mid-length.... being just on my shoulders.
The Times coming up with an article on Amazon Prime TV is a tad spooky, coming right after our discussion about such?
Well, I 'd certainly warn anyone away from EuroSport Player after last year's national - international? - debacle!
(Sorry, cannot do the relevant accents!)
Has your parcel arrived yet?
I like those delivery companies who give an hour's time slot ....like DPD does.
Brilliant, as then one can plan around it.
Right...first a nice cool drink...maybe a yoghurt...or ice-cream.......
Then a look at the crosswords.....
Have you done your puzzle yet?

Those dragonflies will have died by mid-august, JG, but there may be others or you could look for the nymphs (if allowed), which are fiercesome! Have the lakes been allowed to grow some vegetation?
like Holly Blues and Speckled Woods are apparently the only butterfly to be increasing right now.
