46d: vaguely see ladies and gents up at the top (7) I've got 'loosely' as the answer as it can mean vaguely but apart from 'loos' possibly being ladies' and gents' toilets, I'm at a loss. Have I gone completely wrong?

Ely, a place in Cambridgeshire, is a 'see' - it means something like a diocese, and pops up loads of times in crosswords. 'Loosely' i right.

I think it it is loos & ely, from see as in holy see, Ely is a cathdral city, don't know if that makes it a see?
