Here I am at some unearthly hour! When someone looks at this, presumably a lot later in the morning, I need to know
whether 10 Down - "Slender leg leading
a lively dance that we can't put a name
to" is "THINGUMAJIG" or "THINGAMYJIG"
which are two variations that can fit!
Only bit I can't work out is "leg".

Not in Chambers but looks like thin-gam-a-jig...gam being the leg.

Many thanks to Ixion, the Joker and sudokolover! Looks like "thingamajig" is the
correct solution and that NEITHER of the
answers I found in Chambers is correct! I have never heard of a "gam" for leg and all I can say is, thank the Lord that Bob didn't enter the equation and we were presented with possibly a "thingamabob" as well!

Francis: To submit online you have to join the Times Crossword Club. Then you can do all the crosswords without having to buy the newspaper. It costs about £25 a year.
