I set crossies just for pleasure. I wonder if some of you excellent regulars would like to try a few of my clues? Since they're new, no letters!

It’s been suggested that solutions are withheld till 5 pm BST (GMT+1) to allow others to have a go.

1. Simultaneously make amends and die (2,3,2)
2. Profit repeatedly? (5,3,5)
3. Makes nothing of ninth go (7)
4. State of mind leaves a bold Mafia man confounded (7)
5. Make less iron? (8)

Enjoyed your clues and won't spoil things by posting now but I wondered if perhaps No3 needed amending by inserting IT at the beginning of the clue?
This suggestion is on the assumption that I have the correct answer of course!

I agree with Tony (assuming we're both on the right wavelength.) In the same way, I'd also suggest that number 2 should have the word 'A' at the beginning.

I too agree regarding the suggested little tweaks. Nice clues once again Jolan, a little easier this week I thought, cheers.

4. Alabama (state)
anagram of a bold mafia man - minus of mind
5. Decrease - action of ironing removing creases

1) At One Go ....Atone go

2) A gain and again

3) Anagram - nothing is anagram of ninth go

4) Alabama State..- Anag A BOLD MAFIA MAN less OF MIND

5) Decrease - make less...de crease -iron
