A couple of clues I can't quite put to bed:-

10 Across - "Not cryptic, the jumbo, perhaps, we hear" (5) P-A-N
Surely this is PLAIN?
15 Across:- "Property east of Paris demolished" (6) -S-A-E
Surely ESTATE?

10 sounds like plane - a jumbo jet perhaps
15 est - east in french, ate - demolished (as in a plate of food(

15. Est, East in French+ Ate, destroyed.

Thanks also to Malone -I kept toying with "de" for "of" in French, and then I thought of "ouest" for directions, and didn't go the other way, to the "est"!

Pare, cut. Par doing well at Open (golf), par is a good score, level+E, European.

I thought the setter had European under par in mind (i.e. better than level par).
